About Me

My work is an exploration of colour and emotion. Each painting is an adventure inspired by the natural world, whether a single fruit or a mountain landscape. I work mostly in oils but also use pastel, pencil, ink, and gouache. I love the interplay of broad brushstokes and very fine detail and use both in my abstract works. My smaller paintings are often variations on a theme; the personality of a pear, a hazy day at the beach, or an apple that reminds me of a winter morning.

My studio is in a water meadow near the Thames in London -- another source of inspiration.
